What mom?

Yes, it happened...she found out there are awesome things in drawers! My locks on this drawer apparently are too loose because she opens it all the time now. I couldn't help but laugh at this mess though...

a couple random ones

This is the most precious face i have ever seen in my whole life. I love her, she is so innocent and beautiful.
PUZZLES!

Grass isn't as cool as it looks

See how she's squating, she wouldn't let her knees touch the grass...!?

Macey was so funny in the grass. She was crawling at this point but she wouldn't ever let her knees touch the grass. I got a hilarious video of her with her butt way up in the air and she was walking on her feet and hands haha. I think just flat out walking would have been easier than that!

Happy days

She such a happy baby girl....

Painting butterlies and caterpillars!

haha i love this face!
Jesse's caterpillar is on top and Macey's is the one on bottom.

Macey and Jesse love to paint!

Macey Elizabeth Collins, 9 months old!

She was at the stage where she had to point at the eyes of everything!

I am posting this while she is 14 months now and her hair has grown SO much in just a few months time!
Macey was just learning to stand alone! It was hard to get a picture of though because it didn't last very long when we wanted it to!

It seems like each month it gets harder and harder to get Macey to sit still and let me take a picture of her next to Holly Doll! She just wants to play with her or get up and play with us, she doesn't understand why we want her to sit away from us I guess. Now at 14 months she LOVES for me to turn the digital view finder to where she can see herself while i take a picture, she gets so excited. Macey has grown so much in just 9 months. We can see it in her eyes that she understands what we say more and more. 9 months was so much fun but it seems to just get more and more fun the older she gets! We love our Macey girl so much, she is the light of our lives.

Our funny baby girl

Macey still loves this book, i don't know if it's because of the flaps or the animals are really big or what! She is becoming more and more expressive and it is hilarious.

To Homer we go!

We had been meaning to go to Homer all summer long but we ended up never going. So when Jake and his dad went out hunting but then had to come back unexpectedly the next day we took advantage of the time Jake got off to go hunting and drove down to Homer instead! It was a nice 4 days we got to spend with my grandparents and the church family down there. A family with four boys came and stayed one night and Macey loved playing with them. My grandma and grandpa just loved having Macey to cuddle and enjoy, I hope we can go back soon!

Potty Training Macey

Yes, it's true! I would consider her officially potty trained. I want to make sure everyone knows that i ONLY started because the past month Macey has been trying to copy the 3 year old I watch every day by getting onto the stool and putting the little seat that goes on the potty for her to fit and then trying to sit on the potty, all by herself. Ever since she was tiny i always brought her potty with me because I didn't want to leave her alone. Then as she got older she would always just follow me and/or Jesse to the potty. Macey was ready but I never would have thought you could potty train a 14 month old! Last Wednesday I decided just to try, if she didn't want to or couldn't understand it then that would be fine, i didn't care at all if that's what she wanted because she's so young. Also I didn't want to ignore what she was noticing about going potty for a year because I'm sure it would just be harder to try to get her to care again.

All of the best success stories I had been around you would let the baby run around the house with no pants so he/she could see what was happening. The first day she peed on the floor like every 15 min and every time i would rush her over to the potty. So then we got in the habit of just taking her to the potty and waiting for her to pee in it, she did 5 times on Wednesday! But numerous times on the floor.

Then Thursday was hard....she peed every 20 minutes and the whole day she only peed 2 times on the potty. So then I was thinking well maybe she isn't ready after all but the method I was using said it takes 3 days to be able to tell if they are ready or not so I talked to Jake about it and he said thought maybe she wasn't ready either but I should just try one more day but if it was too much then just forget about it.

So Friday I was worried, I took her every 20 min to the potty, sometimes she would pee, sometimes she wouldn't. If she didn't I would only wait 10 min before going back to the potty. She peed 6 times in the potty by noon on Friday and she hadn't gone on the floor at all! We were excited! She ended up only peeing on the floor twice that day!

Saturday we had planned to go out that night, I didn't think she would feel comfortable enough to go pee somewhere other than at home but church was the next day so she had to get used to it sometime...Macey ended up having 3 accidents that day which was great for being away from home most of the day! We put her in a pull up and pants while we were gone so she wouldn't be peeing on other people's floors :) I also noticed that she would only pee every other time we brought her to the potty, so about every hour. So that was good, that meant she could hold it longer and longer.

Now Sunday, which is today, Macey did have one accident but we were gone most of the day. BUT the last time she has gone she will bring us to the bath room and tell us by saying "pa" that she needs to go potty! And for the past 2 days we don't have to sit and read a book and wait for her to go, if she has to go it only takes a couple seconds and she will go! And she can wear pants now around the house so next time we're out shopping she gets some cute tiny little undies :)

If Macey ever fussed or didn't want to get on the potty we would take her off and distract her then 5 min later put her back on when she was in a better mood, we really didn't want it to be us making her. We also made it very positive, we never got on to her about peeing on the floor, we just said Macey pee goes in the potty. And when she did go pee in the potty she would get a little treat! It was a long few days, especially the first three. I've had to sit on the floor just waiting and singing and reading more than I have my whole life put together probably! But it was worth it! I know it's only been 5 days and potty training takes months to perfect but I think Macey is off to a good start.

Reading with Pappy

Pappy came over for a little bit!

Fair trip #3!

The kangaroos were awesome! Macey had a cracker (which was probably against the rules) and one came right up to her! It was so neat!

mom did you see that!!!! ah!!

They were SOOO stinkin cute riding together in that stroller! It only lasted about 20 min though because Keith hadn't been around kids very much and hadn't learned not to pull hair and hit and all that so Macey got beat then we took them out and put them in one at a time or when Macey took a nap.
Another nice thing about that stroller is you can take all the shades off, so since it was a beautiful sunny warm day i took them all off so they could look around.

Grammy took the good looking photos..the ones of us on the carousel..with her camera, thank you Grammy :)
This was the 3rd and last trip we took to the fair, we were definatly "all faired out" by that time. It was lots of fun though and next year will be even more fun with her being almost 2!
