Macey eating brown rice cereal for the first time!

So we decided to start feeding Macey "real" food at 6 months, and start with avocado...but then we were also afraid she would be disgusted and not want to eat again so then we decided to do rice cereal for the first week because it's more like breast milk and she wouldn't be shocked by it! So almost 6 months old Macey got to eat some made by baby bullet blender brown rice mixed with breast milk yay! She loved it :) There was debate at first about how long we should wait to give her food because Macey's cousin who is the same age started at around 4 months but im SO happy we waited because it seemed like she was a lot more eager and wanting it rather than making her eat it because "you're old enough now". We could both tell she felt like a big girl, she was very excited and happy. I'm also glad we got a baby bullet blender! It ground up the rice then we had to put it in a pot of water to boil then and cook it then we added about one spoon full of rice to 1/2 ounce of breast milk! It was really easy and i know how much better it is than store bought baby food. Now we are excited to give her avocados next week!

The past few days...

The past few days we've been able to go outside with Macey! The weather has been beautiful and pretty warm. Jake takes a walk to the mail with Macey everyday and the other day i washed the car while her and Jake played out on the deck! This last picture she looks like a 1 year old to me! Shes huge! haha i think part of it is those jammies are big girl jammies :)

Uncle Matthew

Macey was sick this past week so she didn't want to go to anyone but mommy and daddy...but i wanted a picture with Uncle Matthew! And since he asked to hold her I thought it would be the perfect opportunity...Macey didnt'...haha she freaked out but i took some anyway! We will have to get one of her smiling with him sometime soon :)

5 Months!

Our Macey girl is 5 months! So crazy how fast the time flies...she turned 5 months last week but she was really sick so this was the first opportunity I had to get her picture :)
It was harder this month to make her sit...she just wanted to play! It was a little easier on the floor because Jake was there to entertain her while I could focus on getting a picture.
That picture of her throwing her arms up is hilarious, she literally went from happy to that to smiling again in 30 seconds..she's so dramatic haha.

My Project

I ordered these pictures from Katie Cannon Photography. She did an awesome job with these, I wanted to put them into frames but I didnt have enough so I improvised! I like this better anyway :)
I had a hard time deciding what should go in that little extra square, but I like how this turned out.

Reaching

Macey has been reaching for us when she wants up! Its so precious, it makes daddy feel especially loved since more often shes fussing for me. Macey is getting smarter and smarter every day, lately she will just sit on my lap and sing, she soaks up everything, you can just see those wheels turning!

Hat from Italy

Macey got a precious hat from grammy when visiting Josie in Italy! I had to get some pictures of her in it, and i will have to get one of her smiling another time before she grows out of it! This little girl has only 2 or 3 outfits that it her that are 6 months! Shes wearing all 9 month and 12 month clothes! And she will be 5 months in 3 days! Crazy girl...

Jello!

Jesse loved making Jello the other day. We were going to make jello jigglers but he was having so much fun that i just let him destroy the jello haha. With kids its not about the finished product, its about having fun doing it! And most of the time if the child is having fun it wont look the best...

Trouble!

She may look innocent but there's trouble showin' in those eyes! While I was putting my makeup on the other day Macey grabbed my purse and brought it over closer to her and was going through it! I love the look on her face, she knows it already how innocent she looks!

Gabby's little niece Macey

Macey has gotten old enough for Gabby to play with! Gabriella is such a little mother, she is so sweet and thoughtful. It will be nice in the future for Macey to have someone to play with and learn from :)
