sleepy time

sweet sweet sleeping baby girl. I love to go in Macey's room before i go to bed and see her precious sleeping face. She's always in a different position, most of the time curled up in a ball with her butt in the air! I love to cuddle her when i'm tucking her in at night but i'm also happy she is now in her own bed in her own room! there's nothing better than a cuddly Macey before bed :)

Jesse and Macey have been playing SO nice together lately. They will entertain themselves for a long time and i've been able to get lots done around the house and with my reading. It's more fun for Jesse now that Macey is old enough to play with, they will read books together, play legos, blocks, puzzles, wrestle! They loving spending time together. Jesse never gets mad at Macey for taking his toys so i've been trying to get him to stand his ground! Macey won't give up her toys for anything but Jesse doesn't care at all if she takes a toy away but i don't want Macey to grow up thinking she can take but no one can take from her! So we've been working on that lately. It's weird trying to explain to Jesse "don't let Macey take that away from you!" that shouldn't be said for a 2 year old!

Family up for the Summer

Delicious dinner!
Aunt Autumn was afraid of Macey falling off the bed :)
We had family from both sides come up to Alaska this summer. Jake's grandparents and cousins and sister and sister in law's family all came up and then my grandparents and my aunt and uncle and cousin came too! We had a very busy summer! These are some pictures i got of Macey with Autumn's family. Those nieces of hers are beautiful honest sweet sweet girls, i'm so glad i got to visit with them some while they were here.

Precious Dress!

This has got to be one of my favorite dresses Macey owns. Her aunt Autumn got it for her and it is just precious! They are actually two dresses! The white one by itself is really cute too. The stuffed horse Jake got me on valentines day along with a ton of other stuff while we were dating :) it goes perfect with the dress I think! We are so thankful to have such generous family members to get Macey such cute clothes! Jake and I could never afford all the nice things she gets from family and friends so THANK YOU!

Preparing for #1!!

SUPER excited about Macey's 1st birthday! I've been looking at blogs and magazines to find ideas. I decided on a pink giraffe theme. I've already started making the decorations...This giraffe is just practice, so let me know if you think i should do anything differently! I also know exactly what the cake is going to look like, although i haven't practiced that yet so who knows if it will work out. my mother in law bought some onsies for Macey a few weeks ago and in the set was a giraffe onsie! So Macey is going to be wearing a brown giraffe onsie with a pink tutu that i am in the middle of sewing! I'm not sure if it will be that long, i need to try it on Macey to see how long it should be but it's turning out pretty good so far. We are planning on having only Jake's family and my family for her birthday party because of the size of our house, and the number of friends i would want to invite! But i promise to take lots of pictures and video :)

Catterpillars and Butterflies

Today we painted some caterpillars and butterflies! Jesse loves to paint. Macey loves feeling paint all over her hands!!
After the project was dry i let Macey hold it and she loved it, she had no idea that was what we made with the paint all over her hands but it was still neat to get pictures of her looking proud of her butterfly!



Macey has been pointing for the last 3 weeks and it is SO cute! i just love her tiny little finger pointing at everything!


Jesse's is on top and Macey's is below his, it's fun to see the thumb print size, they are so different!
Jesse is so silly, i told him to smile and he wouldn't so i said grrrr and he copied that haha so this is his growl.
Painting projects are my favorite, they are so cute and colorful. Macey doesn't quite understand what we are doing but she's learning the whole time, and she has so much fun getting messy and doing something we don't get to do every day. Jesse is SO proud of his projects, he can't wait to show mom when she comes to pick him up! It's so fun to see his face light up with what we can make out of paper and paint!
